A large, mature SEO-tools platform ran on end-of-life PHP 7.4 directly on the host, blocking any safe modernization of the server. The engine is feature-rich but old, so a full rewrite was not commercially justifiable.
We packaged the application as-is into an isolated Docker container (Apache + mod_php 7.4) without touching a single line of business logic. Code, uploads and config stay live via bind mounts, MariaDB is reached over its Unix socket, and a host nginx terminates HTTPS in front.
The platform kept running without downtime while PHP 7.4 and Apache were removed from the host. 100+ tools, the multilingual UI and subscription billing remain fully operational.
